Assisted booking

With the assisted booking the user can indicate in the booking form different occupancies per accommodation in a single search. By clicking on the "search availability" button, the user will be guided through the steps to select the desired accommodation for each occupancy.

In the following video we show an example:

To activate the assisted booking, you must go to the booking engine extranet under Settings > Behavior > Show elements and select the checkbox "Form multiple rooms selector".

On the other hand, you can redirect from the website of the accommodation with assisted booking activated.  Below is an example:

The user will be able to select the number of rooms and the corresponding occupancy in the form on the website, and the website will redirect to the booking engine with this selection.

To configure this modality in the website form, you must add to the URL of the booking engine the parameter for each additional accommodation: "stay=adults, children, seniors, juniors, babies".

Example for a search for 2 adults and 1 child:

Example for a search for 3 adults and another search for 2 adults + 1 child:

In case you want to send the ages of the children to the booking engine when more than one room is allowed to be selected, it should be indicated in square brackets as follows:

When sending rooms with children:

  • 2 adults + child of 5 years old --> &stay=2[5]

  • 2 adults + 2 children (4 & 6 years old) --> &stay=2[4,6]

Example:

https://engine.witbooking/demo_urbano/availability?datein=23-08-2022&dateout=26-08-2022&stay=2[3,4]&stay=2[]

The order in which the &stay parameters are specified in the URL has an influence, always put the &stay with children's ages first.

Example:

Two bedrooms, 1st: 2 adults // 2nd: 2 adults + 2 children (3 and 4 years old) -->

https://engine.witbooking/demo_urbano/availability?datein=23-08-2022&dateout=26-08-2022&stay=2[3,4]&stay=2,0,0,0,0
