Redirection to aggregator booking engine due to low availability

Modified on Mon, 14 Apr at 2:03 PM

In this manual we detail the options for redirecting the user to an aggregator engine when queries are made without availability in the booking engine.

The existing alternatives that can be configured from the control panel are the following:

  • Web Message: by configuring this option a modal will appear in the unavailable queries where the user can click on a link that will redirect him/her to the aggregator engine.

  • Automatic redirection: setting this option will automatically redirect to the aggregator when the user makes an unavailable query. An informative message will also appear while the redirection is being processed.

It is important to keep in mind that both options will only be available for hotel groups that have an aggregator booking engine. Here are the steps to carry out the configuration from the control panel:

Web message:

1) Access the control panel, go to Communication > Web messages and create a new message.

2) Define a message informing about the option to book at another property and include a link to the URL of the aggregator booking engine.

3) Fill in the rest of the fields of the interface:

  • Displayed: selected

  • Position: Modal in room selecion

  • Start date / end date

  • Only show when search result is not available: selected

Automatic redirection:

1) Access the Witbooking control panel.

2) Go to Settings > Behavior

3) Enter the URL of the aggregator engine in the field labeled "URL if no availability".
