Below are the steps to configure the domain redirection in order to serve the booking engine from your own subdomain.
You will have to indicate to Witbooking the chosen subdomain:
Examples:
- reservations.establishment-domain.com
- reservations.establishment-domain.com
- bookings.property-domain.com
WARNING! If you have several engines for the same chain or several engines of the same client, you will not create a subdomain for each engine, you will create a single subdomain with the name of the domain (the web page of the chain) and in this way it will serve for all your engines.
Ex:
- https://reservations.nombredelacadena.com/chains/nombredelagregador_agr (if any)
- https://reservations.nombredelacadena.com/hotel/nombredelmotor2
- https://reservations.nombredelacadena.com/hotel/nombredelmotor3
1 - Go to the domain provider's control panel.
2 - Create a CNAME record, with your own subdomain indicated in step 1, to point to engine.witbooking.com.
3 - Example: reservations.establishment-domain.com CNAME: engine.witbooking.com.
4 - Notify soporte@witbooking.com informing of the subdomain finally configured for our technical department to complete the integration and generate the SSL security certificates.
NOTE: this task is only performed on Tuesday every week.
It should be noted that, if in the DNS configuration of the Base domain (TLD) you have a CAA record, intended to restrict the generation of SSLs, it is necessary to add the following domains to that record:
"amazon.com"
"amazontrust.com"
"awstrust.com"
"amazonaws.com"
"letsencrypt.org"
Adding these domains to the CAA record grants the necessary authorization to AWS (Amazon Web Services) to generate an SSL certificate protecting the subdomain.
Another option is to remove the CAA record directly.
IMPORTANT: To ensure the correct functioning of your own subdomain, you can NOT remove the entries configured in the domain provider, while using the Witbooking booking engine.
NOTE: You can check the correct DNS redirection, using the following tool:
