How to create 3x2 promotions

This manual details how to configure a 3x2 promotion in the booking engine. 

This functionality will allow you to discount the amount of one of the nights of your stay, choosing between:

• Discount the cheapest night of the stay. 

• Discount the most expensive night of the stay. 

• Discount the last night of the stay.  

To configure this type of promotions, go to Inventory > Promotions/Highlights > Create new and configure the usual fields for a promotion. (How to create a promotion?)

Once the generic parameters of the promotions have been defined (name, description, restrictions...) the field Give away night/s (e.g. 3x2) must be selected in Typology.

• Discount from 1 to 3 nights out of every X nights of stay: You must indicate the number of nights from which one night of stay will be discounted.

Example: Discount 1 out of every 3 nights will be equivalent to a 3x2. 

• Type: The type of discount must be defined, being able to discount between the cheapest, the most expensive or the last night of the stay.

• Repeat: This option must be selected when the discount can be accumulated in the same stay.

Example: discounting one out of every 3 nights (3x2) together with the option to repeat will allow the discount to be applied twice on stays of 6 days (6x4).

Icon:

Unlike the promotions on the front of the engine an icon will be displayed instead of the defined discount percentage, by default the icon is displayed but you are allowed to select any from the list.
