How to create and edit an extra or service

In order to create an extra you’ll have to go Inventory > Extras/Services:


To edit the extra click on the icon:  /helpdesk/attachments/101014516879 

To eliminate the extra click on the icon:/helpdesk/attachments/101014516880  /helpdesk/attachments/101014516880 

To copy the extra click on the icon:  /helpdesk/attachments/101014516881

How to create a new extra?

Once you have clicked on "create new", the following parameters must be filled in:


  1. Active: if enabled it means that the extra is active.
  2. Ticker: corresponds to the code you will have in our database. Name: it is displayed on the frontend of the booking engine, so it must be translated in all languages.

  3. Description: descriptive text that will appear when the customer selects the extra. 

  4. Rates: own or constant. 

  5. Blocking: own or shared. If you wish to close or block the extra for certain days of the year, select "Own", in this way it can be blocked in Inventory > Management > filter by Identifier of the extra. 

  6. Type: extras can be grouped according to the following types:

    • Per room or per room/day.

    • Specific dates per room, person or unit.  For more details of the configuration, please consult the following link: Extras for specific dates. 

    • Per person or per person/day.  The following link details the configuration of Extras by Occupancy Type.

    • Unitary or Unitary/day. 

    • The types can be set as mandatory, with this setting the price of the extra will be automatically added to the total booking.

  • Promo id: it is possible to block an extra by entering a code in the "promotion.id" tab. This extra will only be visible to those customers who enter the code in step 1. No defined date: the bonus will always apply.
  • Start date and end date that the extra will be available. 
  • Min. and max. stay (days) 
  • Min. notice and max. notive (hours) 
  • Email list: booking confirmation receivers.
  • Rooms with extra enabled: assign applicable rooms to the extra with the smart selection tool. 


Once the extra has been created, it will appear in the list.


To assign an image to the extra, the photo must be uploaded in the top tab "Images".
