Shared Extras from the Aggregator Engine

It is possible to create an extra in the aggregator engine and share it with its linked engines.


To create a shared extra, go to the Back Office of the aggregator engine and follow these steps:


  1. Go to the section Inventory > Extras/Services > Create New.
  2. Configure the extra with the corresponding parameters. In the following manual, you will find more details on how to create an extra: How to create and edit an extra or Service.
  3. In the “Inventory Lines” section, select the inventory lines so that the extra applies to all engines linked to the aggregator.


Once the extra is created in the aggregator, it will appear in all those engines where you selected an inventory line in the previous step.


In the individual engines, in the section Inventory > Extras / Services, a new column called “USE” will appear in the extras information table. In this column, you will see either the word “Shared” or it will be blank.

If it says “Shared,” it means that the extra was created from the aggregator.







Please note the following:

  • Editing or deleting this extra can only be done from the aggregator. Individual engines do not allow editing of the extra.
  • Blocking the shared extra must be done in the extranet of each linked engine (not from the aggregator engine).


Example:


Aggregator engine: hotel_aggregator
Linked engines (children): hotel_1 and hotel_2


We want to create a breakfast extra in hotel_1 and hotel_2.


To avoid creating the extra twice in hotel_1 and hotel_2, simply configure the extra in the Back Office of hotel_aggregator and select the inventory lines of hotel_1 and hotel_2.
