Shared extras from the aggregator engine

It is possible to create an extra in the aggregator engine and share it with your linked engines.

To create a shared extra, go to the aggregator engine's Back Office and follow these steps:

1. Go to Inventory > Extras/Services > Create New.
2. Configure the extra with the corresponding parameters. In the following manual, you will find more details on how to create an extra: How to create and edit an extra or Service.
3. In the “Inventory Lines” section, select the inventory lines for the extra to apply to all engines linked to the aggregator.

Once the extra is created in the aggregator, it will appear in all engines for which you selected an inventory line in the previous step.

Within individual engines, in the Inventory > Extras / Services section, a new column called “USE” will appear in the extra information table. In this column, you will see the word “Shared” or it will be blank. 

If  “Shared” is indicated, it means that the extra was created from the aggregator.

The following should be taken into account:

• Editing or deleting this extra can only be done from the aggregator. Editing the extra is not allowed from individual engines.
• The blocking of a shared extra must be applied in the extranet of each linked engine (not from the aggregator engine).

Example:

Aggregator engine: hotel_aggregator

Aggregated engines (children): hotel_1 and hotel_2

We want to create a breakfast extra for hotel_1 and hotel_2.

To avoid creating the extra twice in hotel_1 and hotel_2, you simply need to configure the extra in the aggregator hotel's Back Office and select the inventory lines for hotel_1 and hotel_2.
