To configure the deposit associated with a condition, you must access Inventory > Define inventory > Conditions > Edit the corresponding condition.
Below are the different options for configuring a deposit in the booking engine. In all cases, the deposit will be associated with a rate condition, and the immediacy and automation of the charge will depend on the configured payment system.
- % Advance payment: Calculates the deposit based on a percentage of the total reservation amount.
- Minimum charge: Calculates the deposit based on a predefined fixed value. If the minimum value is greater than the total reservation amount, the system will not apply any advance payment.
- Charge first night: Calculates the deposit based on the price of the first night of the stay. If the stay is for one night, the advance payment will be the price of the first night excluding VAT.
