Integration with Siteminder

Next, we summarize the steps that must be taken for the integration of Witbooking with the Siteminder channel manager:

1. In the Siteminder Control Panel  go to Channels>New channel.
2. Select the Witbooking channel.
3. If the process requires it, enter the currency conversion ratios.
4. If the process requires it, apply the multiplier ratio for this channel.
5. Finish the process and wait for connectivity between Witbooking and Siteminder to be completed.
   
   *Connectivity may take a few days while both parties coordinate the necessary configurations. 

Some conditions to consider when mapping your inventory lines in Siteminder:

- Witbooking is configured to receive information from master lines. If you want to know info about child/dependent lines, you must map all lines and we will take care of activating a parameter so that it gives you info about all your lines.

- Inventory lines that are set as "Own" in the "rates" variable will be the lines mapped in Siteminder.

- Mapping is done from the Siteminder extranet.

- If you want to make blocks from Siteminder, you must keep the master block as "own" and then assign the child blocks as “shared”.

- Extra beds must be added in Witbooking as another inventory line (i.e.: 3 adults). "Extras" in Witbooking are passed to Siteminder added to the total reservation cost, so in Siteminder it will not be possible to know which extra the amount added to the total price corresponds to. However, it is possible as an inventory line.

MAPPING POSSIBILITIES IN SITEMINDER:

Below, we summarize the existing mapping possibilities for connectivity between the Witbooking and Siteminder systems:

• Map only master lines

 Only lines configured as "own" in the Witbooking inventory table should be mapped. They can be own by rate or by availability.

Advantage: Fewer lines will need to be mapped, and it will be easier to manage.

Disadvantage: Reservations registered on child lines in Witbooking will appear on the Siteminder extranet with the occupancy, condition, and regimen of the master line. If reservations are pushed from the Channel Manager to the PMS, the information displayed may not reflect reality in terms of occupancy, condition, and regimen.

• Map master and child lines

The child line parameter must be requested from Witbooking and all inventory mapped, regardless of whether the lines are master or child. 

Advantage: The Witbooking system will send complete reservation information to Siteminder for both master and child lines.

Disadvantage: All inventory lines must be mapped. If the parameter is activated but not all lines are mapped when a child line reservation is registered, Siteminder will notify an error, and the reservation will not reduce availability from the inventory.
