In order to configure an email account as a sender of the automatic emails sent by the Witbooking System, it is necessary to verify the domain of the email account.
This is done with the objective to introduce a higher level of security and reliability in the sending of emails.
Steps to follow:
1) Access the extranet of the domain provider (GoDaddy, Arsys, Dinahosting…) and enter the DNS zone configuration of the domain you wish to verify.
2) Fill in the SPF register:
If the SPF field has not been configured:
A TXT record must be created in the SPF field by entering the following value: v=spf1 include:spf.mandrillapp.com ?all
If the SPF field already exists:
The following value shall be added to the TXT record: include:spf.mandrillapp.com
The text must be included at the end of the existing code, just before the ?all, ~all, o -all to parameters (depending on the operator you are working with).
IMPORTANT: DNS values CANNOT BE REMOVED while the booking engine is in use.
3) Fill in the DKIM Register
A new TXT record must be added by configuring:
Name: mandrill._domainkey.your-domain.com(replace your-domain.com with the domain being verified).
Value: One of the following codes must be entered depending on whether the operator accepts semicolons in the records:
No semicolon:
v=DKIM1\; k=rsa\; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCrLHiExVd55zd/IQ/J/mRwSRMAocV/hMB3jXwaHH36d9NaVynQFYV8NaWi69c1veUtRzGt7yAioXqLj7Z4TeEUoOLgrKsn8YnckGs9i3B3tVFB+Ch/4mPhXWiNfNdynHWBcPcbJ8kjEQ2U8y78dHZj1YeRXXVvWob2OaKynO8/lQIDAQAB\;
With a semicolon:
v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCrLHiExVd55zd/IQ/J/mRwSRMAocV/hMB3jXwaHH36d9NaVynQFYV8NaWi69c1veUtRzGt7yAioXqLj7Z4TeEUoOLgrKsn8YnckGs9i3B3tVFB+Ch/4mPhXWiNfNdynHWBcPcbJ8kjEQ2U8y78dHZj1YeRXXVvWob2OaKynO8/lQIDAQAB;
IMPORTANT: DNS values CANNOT BE REMOVED while the booking engine is in use.
4) Notify to soporte@witbooking.com that the configuration has been completed and attach a screenshot of the new registers created.
5) We will check if the configuration has been done correctly and we will send the verification email to the email with the indicated domain.
6) Forward the link received to soporte@witbooking.com so that witbooking can complete the configuration (Please note that this link expires and we recommend that you resend it to us as soon as possible).
7) Once we confirm that we have completed the configuration on our side, you can add the new email address in Communication > Custom emails > Sender.
IMPORTANT: Sending from non-verified accounts or from public accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail...) will be done through the email account no-reply@witbooking.com. In any case, the response email will be configured with the hotel's email, regardless of its verification.
