Redirect to aggregator engine due to low availability

Modified on Wed, 23 Sep at 5:14 PM

In this manual, we detail the options for redirecting the user to an aggregator engine when searches are made without availability in the booking engine.

The existing alternatives that can be configured from the Back office:

  • Web Message: Configuring this option will display a modal for searches without availability where the user can click on a link that will redirect them to the aggregator engine.

  • Automatic Redirect: Configuring this option will automatically redirect to the aggregator when the user performs a search without availability. An informational message will also appear while the redirection is being processed.

It is important to note that both options will only be available for hotel groups that have an aggregator engine.

Below are the steps to carry out the configuration from the control panel:

Web Message:

1) Access the control panel, go to Communication > Web Messages and create a new message.

2) Define a message informing about the option to book at another establishment and include a link with the aggregator engine URL.

3) Complete the rest of the interface fields:

  • Visible: selected
  • Position: Accommodation selection

  • Start date / End date

  • Only show when the search result is unavailable: selected

Automatic Redirect:

1) Access the Witbooking Back office.

2) Go to the Configuration > Behavior section

3) Enter the aggregator engine URL in the field named “URL in case of no availability”
