Automatic rate combination

Rate combination allows offering sales opportunities that would be restricted, by minimum advance or minimum stay, by combining the price of the best available rate during the days of the restriction. 

This functionality offers the best price for options that would be restricted and allows direct competition with OTAs like Booking.com that already apply these types of combinations in their rates. 

To enable this functionality, go to Configuration > Behavior > Other settings and enable automatic rate combination.

Practical cases: 

- By minimum advance

An inventory line with a minimum advance of 3 days (e.g. Non-refundable) can be booked for the same day, but the first 3 nights will be offered at the price of the rate without an advance restriction (e.g. Free cancellation).

Example:

- By minimum stay

An inventory line restricted by a minimum stay of 7 days on any of the days of the search (e.g. Non-refundable) will combine rates for restricted days with others without restriction or with a shorter minimum stay (in this case, Free cancellation).

In both cases:

*The resulting combination will apply to the most restricted rate and the booking conditions will be maintained (in this case, those of the Non-refundable rate).

* Promotions will be applied per day. That is, if we have a promotion that applies to the Non-refundable rate, the discount will be applied to the days that have taken the price of said rate.
