Booking modification from Back Office

Modified on Wed, 26 Apr, 2023 at 11:29 AM

The backoffice user who makes a reservation change will be able to see the existing rates and promotions at that moment to be applied to that change.

From the edit reservation option in Reservations > Listing > Actions > Edit, the following columns will be found:

  • Rate charged: Rate available for that day in the management screen. In this screen, an arrow will appear on the new days to insert that rate in the column of Applied Rate. By default, two more days will appear before and after Check-in (so that a call center agent, for example, can have more information to give to the customer).
  • Applied rate: The rates applied on the original dates are displayed.
  • Day discount: Different types of discounts may be applied:
  • Percentage discount: The amount must be indicated together with the percentage symbol. Example: 10% discount. It will be indicated 10 and %.
  • Fixed amount discount: The value of the discount per day must be indicated Example: For a discount of 10 ¤, we insert the value 10
  • Discount per frequency: A discount of 100% must be applied. Example: To give a free night, 100 and the symbol % should be indicated.
  • Restrictions: For the selected day with the specific inventory line, it indicates what restrictions there are in: availability, blocking, min.stay,max.stay, min.in advance, max.in advance.  It is an informative data for the user who makes the change, but it does not validate the restrictions. Any change may be carried out despite the restrictions indicated in that field.
  • Promotions: For the selected day and the specific inventory line, it shows all the promotions available on those days with their restrictions. They are informative, so the user can apply them even if they have some restriction. The user must insert the percentage manually in the Day discount column. In the case of accumulation of promotions from different groups, the user must add them together and must also know if the promotions of that engine are simple discounts (all discounts are added together and applied on the basis of the loaded rate) or compound discounts (first the discount of group 1 is applied on the basis of the loaded rate and then the discount of group 2 is applied on that result).
