Back Office reservation modification

Modified on Wed, 23 Sep at 5:19 PM

The back office user making a reservation change will be able to see the existing rates and promotions at that time to apply them to that change.

From the edit reservation option in Reservations > List > Actions > Edit, the following columns will be found:

  • Loaded Rate: Rate available for that day on the management screen. On this screen, an arrow will appear on the new days to insert that rate in the Applied Rate column. By default, two more days before and after Check-in will appear (so that a call center agent, for example, can have more information to give to the client)

  • Applied Rate: The rates applied on the original dates appear.

  • Day Discount: Different types of discounts can be applied:

    • Percentage Discount: The amount must be indicated along with the percentage symbol. Example: 10% discount. Indicate 10 and %

    • Fixed Amount Discount: The discount value per day must be indicated. Example: For a discount of €10, insert the value 10

    • Cadence Discount: A 100% discount must be applied. Example: To give a free night, indicate 100 and the symbol %

  • Restrictions: For the selected day and specific inventory line, it indicates what restrictions exist in: availability, block, min. stay, max. stay, min. advance, max. advance.  It is informational data for the user making the change, but it does not validate the restrictions. Any change can be made despite the restrictions indicated in that field.

  • Promotions: For the selected day and specific inventory line, it shows all promotions available on those days with their restrictions. They are for informational purposes, so the user can apply them even if they have some restrictions. The user must manually enter the percentage in the Day Discount column. In the case of accumulating promotions from different groups, the user must add them and also know if the promotions from that engine are simple discounts (all discounts are added and applied to the base of the loaded rate) or compound discounts (first, the discount from group 1 is applied to the base of the loaded rate, and then the discount from group 2 is applied to that result)
